Management of kindergartens in private and public sector

This diploma thesis is focuses on management in private and public kindergarten. The aim of the thesis is find out specifics of management in two different preschool institutions. Diploma thesis is consisting of theoretical and practical parts. First part of theoretical thesis inform about public and private sector briefly. The main topic of theoretical part is describing different functions of management, which are important for the functioning of the school. It includes the areas of school management, school funding, but also personnel management. Furthermore, it is also focuses on the legislative conditions, curricular documents and qualifications of leaders in pre primary institutions include their rights, obligations and competences. The end of the theoretical part is describing cooperation with the founders and parents, which is one of the most important factors affecting the quality of kindergarten. Practical part of diploma thesis contains two case studies of two preschool institutions. These institutions are similar in their size, number of classes, capacity of children and number of employees, but they are different in their founders. Phonological abilities of children and their development in the private and public kindergarten

This Bachelor thesis is focusing on the phonological abilities of preschool children. These phonological abilities are important for practicing on reading skills. The main objective was to examine children and to describe the process and findings. Some possible measures for their further development are devised, too. The theoretical part of the thesis covers the development of the preschool child. Its focus are the perceptually motoric and cognitive functions in connection with the development of phonological abilities. Additionally, it also describes the difference between school maturity vs. readiness and competence. Furthermore, it covers communication skills, speech and it defines phonetics and phonology. Finally, the boundary conditions of education and the methods of work in the private and public kindergarten are mentioned. The practical part is based on the examination of preschool children. It describes the findings and attempts to compare children from private and public kindergartens. The thesis concludes with a few suggestions for activities in order to facilitate the further development of the abilities under research.
The Parents' view on the current problems of pre-school care

My thesis "The Parents' view on the current problems of pre-school care", focuses on the problem of raising number of unsatisfied applications of placing children in the kindergartens. It deals also with the problems with joint of parents' careers and family life, which are caused by refused applications of placing. Year by year there is raising excess demand. The pre-school care established by state is a tool which helps parents to harmonize their work and family role. It has been done a research using a method of semi-structured interviews with parents of children at the pre-school age and with headmasters of public kindergartens. It has been recognized two main reasons why parents prefer the placement in the public kindergartens to other alternatives of pre-school care. The main reasons were child's socialization in a group and financial accessibility for parents. The alternatives of pre-school care were not preferred among parents, because they are expensive and parents mostly don't trust them. Because of refused application they stayed at home with child, they did not return to their work.
